Youth Chairman -
Monique Henderson Awards: Nominations are now being accepted for the Monique Henderson Youth Awards to be presented at the Association Junior Olympic Championships June 9-10, 2012. Nominations are due by Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Please click here for details or the nomination form.
Youth Committee Meetings: The Youth Committee meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month. The next meeting will be held at the County Office of Education, 210 West Ash Street, (Downtown), San Diego on May 15, 2012 at 7:00PM. Agenda items are requested to be sent to the Youth Chair () on or before May 12, 2012.
Youth Clubs: USATF membership is required to compete in USATF-sanctioned meets. An athlete may compete as an individual (unattached) or as a member of a club. Clubs are located at various locations in San Diego and Imperial counties. For club practice locations, click here. For links to Web pages and contact information for clubs, click here.
Background Screening: USATF requires all coaches to annually undergo a background screening. Coaches or volunteers who want to learn about the program can visit USATF's site by clicking on this link: http://www.usatf.org/about/programs/backgroundChecks/.
Coaches in Good Standing: Check the current list of San Diego-Imperial coaches and volunteer who have passed the background check: SD-I coaches/volunteers in good standing.
Note on hand-timed meets: Results from hand-timed meets held earlier this year were posted with incorrect tinimg. They will be re-posted when the the results have been re-entered to show correct hand times.
